The first of the Rocking Horse Winter Horse Trials is well underway this weekend, and many top pairs are out to stretch their legs. The weather looks wonderful in Ocala, and it’s great to see everyone out prepping for the season. Buck Davidson is at it again with eleven rides across five divisions. Michael Pollard came out swinging this weekend, currently sitting in 2nd or better on five out of six horses competing. For those of us who are excitedly following Sinead Halpin and the super pony Forrest Nymph, this pair scored a 30.50 in the dressage and had a double clear stadium round to sit tied for eighth going into cross country in their first outing together at Preliminary. The Preliminary and Intermediate divisions did their dressage and show jumping yesterday and will wrap up with cross country today.
