In addition to the seven other USEA-recognized events running this weekend, the young guns get their time to shine this weekend as the East Coast Future Event Horse Qualifiers and subsequent Championship takes place at Loch Moy Farm this weekend. The Central Championships were crowned on Thursday this past week and the West Coast Championship are coming up at Twin Rivers at the end of October. I don’t know why but seeing yearlings all dolled up strutting their stuff kind of reminds me of that show Toddlers and Tiaras. Remember that? I say we get event horse version going called Babies and Blue Ribbons — who’s on board?
