In a thrilling finish, Lord Windemere stayed on to win the 2014 Cheltenham Gold Cup by a short head over On My Own on Friday, March 14. Heavy favorite Bob’s Worth, the 2013 winner, finished fifth. Lord Windemere started out the race in last, jumping early fences at the back of the pack. It goes to show, it’s not how you start but how you finish!
