Wolf’s Plantation CIC** Wrap-Up

Susan Beebee had a fence in hand over second placed Buck Davidson who had just jumped a lovely clear, but Wolf was never in danger of touching a pole, and this combination are the new worthy winners of the Plantation Field CIC**. Susan had already jumped a nice clear on her first horse Uptown Higgins, another very nice type, but had picked up two time penalties to finish 12th, so she knew exactly what she had to do and never wavered.

Buck has yet to put a foot wrong this weekend, and rode the tightest lines all morning, cutting the corners on the somewhat twisty two star course, taking no chances of giving Susan any extra leeway, and as you can see there wasn’t much chance of D.A. Adirmo knocking too many down either!

Caitlin Silliman proved she’s going to be able to respond to the pressure by producing a beautiful clear round on Remington. Scores were very tight in the top six, and I’m sure announcer Ed Holloway listing her horse’s previous achievements with former rider Boyd Martin just as she circled before starting did nothing to help her nerves! Caitlin also takes home the prize for best-conditioned horse, and will ride her own Catch A Star in 10th place in the CIC*** show-jumping shortly.

Lindsay Beer and El Paso finished fourth and also take home the highest placed Young Rider Prize

Jennie Brannigan has had a great weekend so far, and let’s hope it continues as she has three rides left in the CIC*** to show-jump; Indie finished on the same score as El Paso but moved down to fifth.

Boyd Martin and Crackerjack rounded out the top 6

Phillip Dutton and Fernhill Fugitive split Boyd’s rides in 7th place

Boyd and Master Frisky in 8th place. The bareback puissance is about to start, so once again I’m about to rush off and leave you with a few more random pictures

Caroline Martin, above on Petite Flower, rode two class rounds, for two clears, I can’t stress enough how impressed I am by her.

Lisa Marie Fergusson on another lovely young horse, Uni Sprite

Eventing Nation’s own Abbie Golden and Arundel, just the first fence down
