Weekend Instagram Roundup: Season Opener at Stable View

3, 2, 1… GO Eventing in 2018! Stable View hosted the first competitors of the year at their January 13-14 horse trial. Despite the chilly weather (for Southerners), the event had a great turn out of riders hoping to get an early jump on the season.

Day 1 of the Aiken Opener Horse Trials is underway! All competitors are invited to the Competitor's Party tonight at 6:00 at the Olliff House (first on the right through the Main Gate). Appetizers and adult beverages will be available!

Stable View was a big success! We had a small crew- just Sierra and me- but we had a blast. Sierra finished 1st in her Training Rider division and Charlie came home with another finish on his dressage score in the Open Training! A big thank you to everyone who has helped us get here, especially the Shurtz family, who continues to encourage and support me in all of my equine endeavors! Shout out to @shopdivineequine for the bonnets and saddle pads, @itsahaggertys for the logo wear, and @devoucoux for keeping my horses stylish and comfortable in their tack.

Flying Frankie had a great run at Stable View this weekend in the Open Training! Stood 8th out of 25 after Dressage with a 29%. Had a clean stadium moving up to 7th and a fabulous run around XC! Placings are still pending. So happy to have had a qualified ride towards preliminary! 3 more to go…. @batessaddles @ridingright @cavalorna
