We recently reported that Lillie Keenan won the Pessoa/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals in Harrisburg, Pa. Now this year’s equitation queen has claimed the top prize at the ASPCA Maclay Finals at the Alltech National Horse Show in Lexington, Ky. Similar to the Medal Finals, the top 20 riders were called back after a grueling preliminary over fences and flat round for a final test.
Usually, a final work off would be necessary once the top 20 riders had ridden, but judge Susie Humes noted that the class essentially pinned itself, with Lillie stamping herself as the clear winner.
